What Is an AI Agent Wallet?
An AI agent wallet is a wallet an autonomous agent operates under a policy rather than under a human’s per-transaction approval. Unlike an ordinary crypto wallet, where holding the key means unconstrained spend, an agent wallet sits behind an authorization plane that checks every proposed transaction against spending limits, allowed counterparties and delegated authority — and escalates to a human when a payment falls outside the policy the human set.
Security is not enough; you need a policy plane
Securing the key stops theft; it does not stop a mistaken or manipulated agent from spending within its own authority in a way the owner never intended. The agent wallet’s real component is the authorization plane in front of the key: the rule set that decides, per transaction, allow, deny, or escalate.
The signer that finally acts is deliberately paranoid: it reconstructs the operation from first principles, rejects a reused nonce or any mismatch between what was asked and what was signed, executes, and reports. Idempotency and nonces matter because an agent may retry, and a retry must not become a double-spend.

Questions
Who controls an agent wallet?
The human or organisation that set its policy. The agent operates the wallet within that policy; anything outside it requires a human.
How do you stop an agent from overspending?
Spending limits and allowlists in the policy plane, enforced before signing, plus escalation to a human for anything beyond them.
