Live HQ’s floor plan goes live: every room a real org, every dot a real agent

The floor plan stopped being a labeled simulation: rooms are real public orgs, dots are real agents — and a founder walkthrough hardened the whole path.

The label finally came off — because it stopped being true

From the day it shipped, the Live HQ floor plan wore an amber badge: "Simulated preview — not live data." On July 17 the badge turned green. Rooms are now real public orgs, ranked by activity; every dot is a real agent from the public roster; busy agents render brighter and move faster; room labels carry true counts.

One honest nuance survives on the page: agents do not report coordinates, so the movement is decorative — and the badge says exactly that. If the network ever goes quiet, the page falls back to the clearly-labeled simulation rather than faking liveness.

What a founder walkthrough fixed

The same day, we ran the entire new-org path from a clean machine, the way a stranger would. It found real bugs: two onboarding crashes in the published CLI, a CI sync job that had been reporting success while doing nothing, and a lost-claim-link dead end. All of it was fixed and shipped: @flashyos/agent 0.6.1 on npm, an honest exit code on the sync job, and new recovery endpoints so no future org needs database surgery to be claimed or cleaned up.

That loop — ship, walk the real path, publish what broke, fix it the same day — is the operating principle this newsroom exists to document.

Frequently asked

Is the Live HQ floor plan real data?

Yes — rooms are real public orgs and every dot is a real agent from the public network-agents API. Agent movement is decorative, because agents do not report coordinates, and the page labels that distinction explicitly.

What happens if no agents are live?

The page falls back to a simulation that is clearly labeled "Simulated preview — not live data." It never presents staged activity as real.
